Purity Laundry Project Inc. helps to wash the clothes and bedding of under-resourced families and individuals in Sussex County Delaware. We seek to bring economic relief by providing the individual or family the option to redirect funds saved by free laundry toward food, shelter, and other basic everyday necessities. We believe it's crucial to create a way for all people to live with dignity, and for our guests to be afforded the opportunity to care for themselves and their families. Our mission is to give the Gift of Clean Clothes and brighten the lives of hundreds of people each month. We accomplish this by bringing together community members to provide help, hope and health to all involved.

Statistics show that 70% of low-income families without a washer will skip laundry in order to save money for other basic needs. Purity Laundry Project offers bimonthly sessions to close the hygiene gap by giving families consistent access to clean clothing at no cost. Our bimonthly sessions ensure families can wash their clothes regularly and maintain personal cleanliness and removes the financial burden of the high cost of doing laundry.
Helping to provide clean clothing and bedding is an area in the fight against poverty that is often neglected.

Cleanliness restores more than appearance. When children feel clean, they feel accepted and ready to learn without embarrassment. By meeting this basic need, we help children walk into school feeling valued and seen.

Laundromat owners, churches, neighbors, local businesses, schools, medical professionals, clubs and organizations, corporations, neighbors and volunteers of every gender, race, ethnicity, nationality, belief, and class to work together and grow together.
